“Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial.”
Ted Nugent, the rocker and Michigan deputy sheriff whose new line of ammunition has sold out amid gun control worries, claims members of state and federal law enforcement are poised to disobey any order by President Obama to seize guns.
Nugent, whose trained with the FBI, ATF and DEA, on Tuesday cited a group called “Oath Keepers,” members of federal and state police and military organizations, who will not enforce laws that conflict with the Constitution and presumably the Second Amendment right to arms.
In an interview with the “Andrea Tantaros Show with Jason Mattera,” Nugent said that if ordered to seize his guns, the “Oath Keepers” would refuse. “First of all,” he said if military or law enforcement officials showed up at his Texas ranch, “I’d slice them a shank of venison because most of them are my friends.”
He explained: “There is an official organization called ‘Oath Keepers,’ and these are heros of law enforcement and the military who will not obey an order, an illegal, anti-Constitution, oath-breaking order to infringe that far on our Second Amendment rights.”
