2 companies reach $7.7-million settlement over allegations of selling fetal tissue

“This settlement seized all profits from DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, which they acquired by viewing body parts as a commodity and illegally selling fetal tissues for valuable consideration. These companies will never be able to operate again in Orange County or the state of California,” District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said in a statement.

Two bioscience companies that once operated in Costa Mesa have reached a $7.785-million settlement with the Orange County district attorney’s office over allegations that they illegally sold fetal tissue to companies around the world, prosecutors said Friday.

According to the settlement signed Monday, DV Biologics LLC and sister company DaVinci Biosciences LLC, both based in Yorba Linda, must cease all operations in California within 60 to 120 days. The agreement also requires the companies to admit liability for violations of state and federal laws prohibiting the sale or purchase of fetal tissue for research purposes, prosecutors said.

Also named as defendants in the settlement are company principals Estefano Isaias Sr., Estefano Isaias Jr. and Andres Isaias.

Planned Parenthood under investigation by Justice Department over sale of fetal tissue (Video)

“The report documents the failure of the Department of Justice, across multiple administrations, to enforce the law that bans the buying and selling of human fetal tissue,” Grassley wrote last December urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate.

The Justice Department has launched a federal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s practices and the sale of fetal tissue.

In a letter first obtained by Fox News, Justice Department Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs Stephen Boyd formally requested unredacted documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee, the same panel that led the congressional probe into the women’s health organization.

“The Department of Justice appreciates the offer of assistance in obtaining these materials, and would like to request the Committee provide unredacted copies of records contained in the report, in order to further the Department’s ability to conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of that report based on the full range of information available,” Boyd wrote.

Fox News has learned that last month, the FBI first requested the unredacted documents from the committee.

California Law Enforcement Seizes Planned Parenthood Videos from Home of Activist

“Planned Parenthood’s bought-and-paid-for AG has steadfastly refused to enforce the law against the baby parts traffickers in our state, while at the same time doing their bidding to harass and intimidate citizen journalists,” Daleiden opined.

On Tuesday evening, the California Department of Justice raided the home of pro-life activist David Daleiden (shown), founder of the Center for Medical Progress, the organization behind the undercover videos that exposed Planned Parenthood’s fetal harvesting scheme. Daleiden notes that the raid represents an “attack on citizen journalism” and has vowed to “pursue all remedies to vindicate our First Amendment rights.”

The Washington Post reports that authorities seized Daleiden’s laptop and hard drives from his apartment in Orange County, which had information obtained as part of his 30-month investigation into Planned Parenthood.

Following the California Department of Justice raid, Daleiden posted on Facebook that agents “seized all video footage showing Planned Parenthood’s criminal trade in aborted baby parts, in addition to my personal information,” but noted that they left behind documents that would implicate Planned Parenthood’s illegal behavior.

Do black lives matter … to Planned Parenthood? by Pat Boone

Pat Boone shares race realities of powerful ‘extermination business’

We’ve all seen the startling and in some cases snarling gangs of demonstrators with placards waving, with large scrawled letters proclaiming “BLACK LIVES MATTER!”

Even if you hadn’t been watching the news for last few months, or been watching the Democratic nominating debates, you’d sense an anger, a decidedly confrontational “I’m mad as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore” attitude.

When liberal presidential candidate Martin O’Malley dared to aver “Black lives matter, white lives matter, all lives matter,” he was met with a loud prolonged chorus of jeers, derision and rejection from the equally “liberal” crowd he was wooing!

You might well answer, “Of course they matter … who said they don’t?”

The answer: nobody.

It’s an invented “issue,” a protest against a non-existent claim.

Of course, there has been widespread concern about several instances in which overzealous, badly reacting police, both white and black, have beaten, injured and in a few cases killed individuals they suspected of criminal behavior. In almost every case, the injured party was black and in most cases had been involved in some lawbreaking activity. So in equally unreasonable fashion, anti-police gangs were organized, and one highly televised parade of angry sign carriers promoted killing police, while chanting “black lives matter!”

Former Cosmopolitan Reporter Exposes the Propaganda Behind the Sexual Revolution and Women’s Movement

Sue Ellen Browder – an award-winning journalist and author – tells Breitbart News that Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be defending Planned Parenthood and abortion if she really understood that issue was part of the sexual revolution and wholly separate from the women’s movement pushing for more rights.

“Women like Hillary Clinton do not know they’re not really defending the women’s movement. They’re really defending the sexual revolution,” Browder explained. “Hillary would not want to defend that if she knew what she was doing.”

Browder’s new book Subverted: How I helped the Sexual Revolution Hijack the Women’s Movement details how the sexual revolution became part of the push for more rights for women when “abortion was rammed through into the women’s movement.”

Now 70-years-old, Browder is recalling her experience as a small town girl from Iowa going to the Big Apple to begin her writing career after studying journalism at the University of Missouri.

I was a small town girl from Iowa and I was glamour struck. When I went to New York City to start my writing career, I had a choice of either going with a little magazine … or I could go with Cosmo, and Cosmo was the queen of women’s magazines in those days and I went with Cosmo. One thing that I noticed when I was at the University of Missouri, we had a magazine writing class, and we analyzed different magazines … and I chose Cosmopolitan and one thing I noticed was that those antidotes in the magazine were so packed that they seemed made up.

Ex-manager: Planned Parenthood ripped off Medicaid

Whistleblower says millions siphoned by billing 10 times cost of birth control.

A little-known whistleblower lawsuit accuses Planned Parenthood clinics in Iowa of wrongly siphoning millions of American taxpayer dollars with a series of complicated billing schemes aimed at increasing profits.

Among other dishonest practices, a former manager of the clinics alleges, Planned Parenthood staffers routinely purchased birth control pills for just under $3, billed Medicaid $35 for the same package of pills, and got reimbursed for $26.

The lawsuit, brought by Sue Thayer, a 17-year employee of Planned Parenthood in Iowa, coincides with a national scandal over undercover videos that show the organization’s officials in other states talking about the sale of body parts from aborted babies.

The series of videos, hotly disputed by Planned Parenthood Federation of America, triggered renewed efforts by conservative lawmakers to strip taxpayer dollars from the nation’s largest provider of abortions.

In her suit, Thayer alleges multiple accounts of fraud, waste, and abuse in the Iowa clinics that add up to nearly $28 million. Her allegations raise both ethical and legal questions at a time when the national Planned Parenthood organization faces a hostile climate in Washington, D.C., and beyond.

‘Confidential’ Planned Parenthood video leaked

Conservative website says it has right to make public despite temporary restraining order.

Complete raw footage from the Planned Parenthood videos surfaced Thursday on the conservative website Got News?, whose editor said he had gotten it from a House staffer despite lawmakers’ pledge to keep it confidential.

Editor Charles Johnson released the full footage Thursday even after the National Abortion Federation got a temporary restraining order a day earlier prohibiting any dissemination. Johnson vowed to “contest any unconstitutional prior restraint of speech.”

The abortion providers group had gone to court after Johnson’s website put part of the video online earlier this week.

An anti-abortion group called the Center for Medical Progress — which had released the series of videos over the summer depicting Planned Parenthood profiting from fetal tissue donation — had previously provided the full video under subpoena to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Johnson told POLITICO in an email that he obtained the raw tapes from a high-ranking congressional staffer “who felt morally compelled to have them released.”

Chaffetz Hits Planned Parenthood Chief Over Millions Wasted on Travel, Parties (Videos)

$40 Million on chocolate champagne parties, travel, & exorbitant salaries, including nearly $600,000 for its President Cecile Richards. Last year, PP reported $127 million in revenue over expenses & blows millions on politics. Why are they getting taxpayer dollars?!

Tuesday at a hearing of the House Oversight Committee, chairmen Rep. Jason Chaffetz questioned Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards over her organization spending over $40 million in federal dollars on travel, parties and excessive salaries.

Chaffetz said, “Does Planned Parenthood really need federal subsidy? Does it need federal dollars? Every time we spend a federal dollar, what we’re doing is pulling money out of somebody’s pocket and we’re giving it to somebody else. What I don’t like, what I don’t want to tolerate, what I don’t want to become numb to is wasting those taxpayer dollars. And as best I can tell, we’re going to have a hearing here, this is an organization that doesn’t need federal subsidy. For the year ended June 14th — June of 2014, I should say, Planned Parenthood reported $127 million in revenue over expense expenses. They had $127 million more in revenue than they had in expenses. Yet between 2005 and 2013, in large part under Ms. Richards’ leadership, there was a 53% reduction in cancer screenings. 42% reduction in breast exams and breast care. I don’t understand why. I don’t understand why.”

Bobby Jindal Plays Planned Parenthood Videos on Massive Screen Outside Governor’s Mansion

Bobby Jindal is showing once more he’s making the biggest play of any 2016 candidate for the pro-life vote.

This afternoon, while abortion supporters protested outside the Governor’s mansion in Baton Rouge, Jindal set up a huge movie screen and speakers and played on a continuous loop all of the videos released in recent weeks showing the brutality of Planned Parenthood’s baby-parts business.

One of the problems faced by the Center for Medical Progress is that many people are refusing the watch the grisly undercover videos where Planned Parenthood personnel discuss dissecting aborted babies in order to sell their eyes, lungs, livers, hearts, and even brains.

Among the handful of states that have either started investigations or defunded Planned Parenthood altogether is Jindal’s Louisiana. Supporters of Planned Parenthood are protesting Jindal’s moves against Planned Parenthood funding. Earlier this month, Jindal ended the state’s Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood’s Louisiana state director Melissa Flournoy said today, “Governor Jindal isn’t even in Louisiana today, but he’s made sure to prove that he’s always ready to put politics before Louisianan’s health.” She called his screening of the videos “a stunt”, which is certainly is, and certainly one to get under the skin of the protesters.

Trump teams with Cruz to defund Planned Parenthood

Business mogul would shutter government to achieve goal.

Sen. Ted Cruz and billionaire Donald Trump may be warring for the same White House post, but they’ve nevertheless cast aside politics to push a defund Planned Parenthood strategy, hoping their star-power status will press legislators to add a rider to a bill moving on Capitol Hill that would cut the organization’s finances.

Trump gave his official rubber-stamp to the plan during Monday evening remarks, despite the fact Democrats vowed to oppose any bill containing such rider, Politico reported.

Call it Obamacare redux. This is the same maneuver Cruz tried with Obamacare in 2013; now, the Texas senator is hoping for a more successful outcome.

“[I want to] use very took available to stop funding what appears to be a criminal enterprise,” Cruz said, after the Senate failed to pass a standalone bill defunding Planned Parenthood, Politico said.

This time, he has Trump’s support.

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt asked Trump directly if he would go so far as to shut down the government over the defunding campaign – something that Cruz faced during his opposition to Obamacare funding – and the billionaire’s response was short and to the point: “I would.”

Trump also pointed to Cruz’s senate colleagues as dropping the ball on him with Obamacare.
