Singing icon Pat Boone, 82, blasts Meryl Streep, Hollywood liberals and movie studios that are ‘wrecking’ US image around the world with anti-Trump rants

Boone, 82, said an awards show in not the place to ‘vent your spleen’. The respected singer feels Meryl refused to give Trump a ‘chance’. He insisted Hollywood shuts out conservatives and is ‘99% liberal,’ to the detriment of the nation’s image around the world.

Show business legend Pat Boone has come out firing at stars who use award?s season to launch rants at the US President and his policies.

Boone, 82, ?lambasted? Meryl Streep for her Golden Globes speech in January where she denounced Donald Trump’s ideology and accused him of mocking disabled reporter Serge Kovaleski in his campaign.

The Moody River singer said he feels that she refused to give Trump a ‘chance,’ as well as saying Hollywood shuts out conservatives and is ‘99% liberal,’ to the detriment of the nation’s image around the world.

He spoke while arriving at the 25th Annual Movieguide Awards, which celebrates faith-based and family movies.

Boone, who has enjoyed seven decades of stardom, claimed that many modern actors and actresses are destroying the industry by making ‘degraded’ films simply due to their liberal views.

‘Now, first of all, I don’t think that award shows are the place to express some narrow political view,’ he said when the subject of Streep’s speech was mentioned. ‘Now, it’s not narrow to her, or to most of that audience. But to most of America, who had elected a man that she detests and doesn’t wanna even give a chance to.’

Pat Boone Rips SNL for Anti-Christian Skit: They’d Be in ‘Witness Protection’ If They Joked About Islam (Video)

Actor-singer Pat Boone ripped Saturday Night Live over its recent anti-Christian fake movie trailer, “God is a Boob Man,”on Monday, pointing out that the program would never have the guts to air a similar skit lampooning Islam or Mohammad.

On Saturday, SNL aired a fake movie trailer parodying the recent faith-based film God’s Not Dead 2. In the trailer, small-town baker Beth refuses to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple; the gay couple promptly threatens to get their “Jewish lawyer” involved in the case, and want the baker to admit that “God is gay.” Beth goes to court in an attempt to “prove once and for all that God is straight.”

In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter on Monday, the 81-year-old God’s Not Dead 2 star said that Saturday Night Live would never have made similar jokes about Islam, for fear of a violent backlash.

“This skit was outright sacrilege,” Boone told the outlet. “They know if they did this to Muslims they’d have to be put into the witness protection program. There’s nothing sacred at SNL — except maybe the words ‘Mohammad’ or ‘Allah.’ They’d never take those names in vain, but when they called God a ‘boob man,’ they took his name in vain.”

Boone added that it is possible to skewer religion in funny ways, but SNL‘s fake movie trailer wasn’t one of them.

Pat Boone – The Horror Of It All

“The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after.” – Unknown

I’m suspending my campaign for president by Pat Boone

Pat Boone withdraws from race for the White House.

Today, I announce I’m suspending my campaign for president of the United States.

I choose this day because I love my country, and this is the best way I can manifest my deep devotion to her.

This announcement will surprise many, I’m sure, because nobody knew I was running. I’ve purposely kept it secret, waiting for the most dynamic, effective moment. I had decided that the best moment would be one week before the actual election, when the whole citizenry would be in absolute despair, realizing at last there were only two choices – and that either would assure the dissolution of America as we’ve known her. Voters would be swearing they wouldn’t vote for either party or candidate, and the airlines would be swamped with people fighting for the last available seats for New Zealand.

I would then burst on the scene, declaring myself willing and able and available, offering myself as the only reasonable alternative to national self-destruction. I’m the ultimate political “outsider,” owing nothing to anybody and endorsed by no one – no enemies, no record of anything and no controversial policies.

I would appeal to seniors, because I’m even older than Bernie Sanders. I would capture the youth vote, because I came in singing rock and roll, and my campaign song is “Tutti Frutti.” Even Snoop Dog said in one of his songs “all the girls love Pat Boone,” and that’s the highest validation young people today, especially black rappers and their fans, could ask for. My candidate for vice president would be Lady Gaga, so that would sew up the female vote.
