Joon Kim, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said at a news conference today that Ullah allegedly aimed to “murder as many innocent human beings as he could and to blow himself up in the process — all in support of a vicious terrorist cause.”

The man accused of detonating an explosive in the New York City subway system wrote on Facebook the morning of his alleged attack, “Trump you failed to protect your nation,” according to the federal complaint against him.

Akayed Ullah, 27, an immigrant from Bangladesh, is accused of setting off the homemade bomb in an underground passageway near the Port Authority Bus Terminal Monday morning, sending commuters scrambling to evacuate the major transit hub just blocks from Times Square.

He allegedly selected the location and time to maximize human casualties, according to officials.

Suspected East London Grooming Gang ‘Targeted Girls as Young as Thirteen’

London police believe they have uncovered a new child sex grooming gang in East London, possibly linked to drug dealing and trafficking in the area.

The gang allegedly targeted girls “as young as 13” and operated around a McDonalds and Stratford shopping centre in Newham, with teenagers “coerced” into sexual activity, according to a police statement.

The ethnic and religious makeup of the gang and their victims is not known at this time.

So far, six arrests have been made on the 17th and 25th of November, and police are appealing to the public, as they believe there could be many more victims yet to come forward.

The arrests include a 34-year-old man held on suspicion of rape and possession with intent to supply drugs. He has been released pending the investigation.

Two 21-year-olds, one 16-year-old, and two other teenagers aged 15 were also arrested, for crimes including robbery, possession of drugs, and child abduction.

Police are working with The Children’s Society to help victims as well as business in the Stratford shopping centre as they investigate the alleged crimes.

Specially trained officers will be working in the area, issuing Child Abduction Warning Notices, distributing leaflets, and “disrupting those who are seen to target vulnerable groups of young girls.”

Trump blames ‘lax immigration system’ for NYC terror attack

Muslim suspect sought revenge on U.S. for ‘bombing in my country’

A Bangladeshi immigrant is in custody after an explosive vest he was wearing detonated and injured four people, including himself, during the height of rush hour Monday morning near New York City’s Port Authority bus terminal.

The blast went off in an underground tunnel at 7:20 a.m. near 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, two blocks from Times Square, police said.

Police Commissioner James O’Neill said at a 9:45 a.m. press conference that the suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, who detonated a “low tech device” attached to his body with Velcro and zip ties.

Ullah had entered the country in 2011 on an F-43 visa, which gives preference to immigrants who already have family living in the U.S. He is not a U.S. citizen but is living here legally on a green card.

Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, tweeted that the F-43 is basically a “nephew visa” for a foreign national seeking to enter the U.S.

DHS: Suicide-Bomb Suspect Arrived by Chain Migration

The terror suspect who allegedly attempted to detonate a suicide-bomb in New York came to the United States from Bangladesh as a “chain migration” relative of an individual who had immigrated earlier into the United States.

In October, President Donald Trump called for an end to this “chain migration” process in his immigration principles.

On Monday 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, a Bangladesh national, injured three individuals when he allegedly tried to detonate a suicide bomb in New York City in a planned terrorist attack.

Ullah, as confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), entered the U.S. in 2011 as a chain migrant.

Under “chain migration,” new immigrants to the U.S. are allowed to bring an unlimited number of poorly-screened foreign relatives with them, creating a never-ending flow of immigration from some terror-ridden countries.

Ullah came to the U.S. through the F43 visa, allowing him to obtain a Green Card simply because his father’s brother or sister had recently been naturalized as a U.S. citizen. This process is known as “extended-family chain migration.”
