Multiculturalism has not perhaps produced quite the idyllic society in this country which its proponents had hoped for. Instead of vibrant, happy communities where everybody mingles freely together, separate communities have emerged, which all too often tend to be self-contained. This is not a wholesome and desirable state of affairs in either a nation or a large city. What is now seen in London is spreading to other parts of the kingdom.

‘It is now the age of consequences,’ said a protest organizer with Extinction Rebellion Vancouver Island.
Environmental activist David Suzuki “has a stern warning for politicians and global leaders if they fail to act on climate change,”CHEK News reports.
Speaking at an Extinction Rebellion protest in Victoria, B.C., Suzuki stated that “there are going to be pipelines blown up, if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on.”
Suzuki continued: “My whole message here? It is that so long as we cling to the models or systems that we’ve built our laws, our politics, and our economics as being more important than everything else? We’re hooped,” he said.
“People in Extinction Rebellion are saying we’re headed in a direction of extinction and we’re rebelling against it. That’s why I’m here.”

Two Fox News contributors resigned over what they called “irresponsible” voices at the cable news network.
Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes of the Dispatch resigned as contributors on Sunday and specifically cited a documentary purporting to document the real story of the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol.
“Fox News still does real reporting, and there are still responsible conservatives providing valuable opinion and analysis. But the voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible,” wrote the pair in a statement about their resignation.
Goldberg and Hayes had been occasional contributors at Fox News since 2009. They have both been noted conservative critics of the policies and behavior of former President Donald Trump.

Researchers proposed a fix to the biased algorithm, but one internal document predicted pushback from ‘conservative partners’
Last year, researchers at Facebook showed executives an example of the kind of hate speech circulating on the social network: an actual post featuring an image of four female Democratic lawmakers known collectively as “The Squad.”
The poster, whose name was scrubbed out for privacy, referred to the women, two of whom are Muslim, as “swami rag heads.” A comment from another person used even more vulgar language, referring to the four women of color as “black c—s,” according to internal company documents exclusively obtained by The Washington Post.
The post represented the“worst of the worst” language on Facebook — the majority of it directed at minority groups, according to a two-year effort by a large team working across the company, the document said. The researchers urged executives to adopt an aggressive overhaul of its software system that would primarily remove only those hateful posts before any Facebook users could see them.

Latest crime data shows surge in rapes, murder, assaults in South Africa
Nearly 10,000 rape cases and more than 6,100 murders were reported in South Africa between July and September this year, according to official data released on Friday.
The number of rape cases stood at 9,556 – an increase of 634, or 7.1%, from the third quarter of 2020 – while murders were up by 1,056, or 20.7%, to 6,163, the country’s latest crime statistics showed.
There were also 72,762 cases of assault in South Africa in the third quarter of 2021.
“This data proves again that South Africa is a very violent country,” Police Minister Bheki Cele said at a news briefing.
He termed the soaring rape figures “deeply disturbing” and a “disgrace.”
“The majority of the rape victims are women and those most vulnerable in our society. A sample of 6,144 rape cases revealed that 3,951 took place at either the home of the victim or the rapist,” he said.

New York’s new U.S. Attorney should ignore the paranoid politics of elites and focus on prosecuting violent crime.
On November 19, 2021, Damian Williams was sworn in as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. At 41, Williams is an impressive figure: A.B. from Harvard, M.Phil. from University of Cambridge, and J.D. from Yale Law School, followed by a prestigious clerkship with then-Judge Merrick Garland of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and Justice John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court. He then served in the same office he now leads, rising to head its Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.
Williams is also black, which was evidently a key qualification for New York senator Chuck Schumer, who recommended that President Biden nominate Williams and two other black lawyers as U.S. Attorneys for Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Buffalo, respectively, “to ensure this state—and this country—deliver a fairer, more inclusive and just future for each and every one of us.”
Though Williams has made history as Manhattan’s first black U.S. attorney, he is now off to an inauspicious start, for reasons having to do with the racial politics behind his appointment. At his investiture, Williams said that he was “proud to announce today that I have created a brand-new civil-rights unit in the criminal division of my office.” This is not controversial in and of itself, though it bears noting that the U.S. Department of Justice already houses the Civil Rights Division, which has a Criminal Section that “investigates and prosecutes cases throughout the United States involving the interference with liberties and deprivation of rights defined in the Constitution or federal law.” The concerning issue is that Williams justified the creation of this unit, in part, on a fiction.
“You know and I know we are living in troubled times,” Williams declared at his swearing in at the Harlem Armory. “White supremacist groups are on the march. Anti-Semitism is on the march. Anti-Asian bias is on the march. Abuse of the most vulnerable in our society is on the march.”
