Sexual exploitation of white girls is ‘problem in Asian communities’, claims Nazir Afzal (Read problem in muslim communities), Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England. It has taken a Muslim to acknowledge the growing problem in the UK that sexual grooming exists within the Muslim communities and he has been reported in glowing terms for doing so. He has said ‘the status of women among some Asian men led to cases of white girls being sexually abused.’ He made these comments after two Muslims, Mahfuzur Rahman and Abdul Hannan were convicted of raping or sexually assaulting 4 young women in the region after they had been picked up and plied with drink. Whilst Afzal has acknowledged this growing problem, he has also minimised it by saying all communities have this problem when it appears to be a cultural problem in the Muslim community.
