Nugent blasts Obama administration as 'America haters'

“How about a welfare program … (where) for every kid who gets a sandwich from the welfare program, there’s about 10,000 pigs buying bling-bling, dope and meth with my welfare money,” he said to reporters.

Ted Nugent addresses the media quickly before entering a private luncheon during the GOP’s Lincoln Luncheon at the Prairie Capital Convention Center Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.

Any Republican presidential candidate would be “a monstrous upgrade over the current, America-hating administration” of President Barack Obama, right-wing rocker Ted Nugent told Sangamon County Republicans Friday night.

“The whole world sucks, but America still sucks less,” Nugent told a crowd of about 500 people who paid $100 each for dinner. “But with this administration, we are catching up.”

Nugent told reporters before the event that people need to fight for freedom.

“We have a guy in the White House who is an absolute, America-hating punk,” Nugent said. “And it isn’t really the punk’s fault. It’s we the people for bending over and letting the punk in the door.”

He hit a similar theme in the speech.

“The real curse in America today is not Barack Obama and Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and Richard Daley and Rahm Emanuel,” Nugent said. “They’re not the real punks. The real curse in America is apathetic, disconnected, uncaring, unconscionable Americans who dare not engage in this unique, sacred experiment in self-government.”
