The Board of the National Lawyer’s Guild proudly includes convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. He is listed as the National Vice President for Jailhouse Attorneys.
As reported by CNBC, the National Lawyer’s Guild has obtained a court order to prevent New York City from enforcing the law, and removing the Occupy Wall Street protesters from Zuccotti Park.
The order came late in the night, after New York City police raided the park and arrested 70 people. Sanitation workers then followed to clean the park, including power washing the sidewalks.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has said the city will fight the court order. FOX NEWS’ Megyn Kelly has reported that Zuccotti Park will remain closed, ensuring a costly legal battle for the city, which is so cash strapped that they will be closing the subways at night.
Many have never heard of the National Lawyer’s Guild, which has a history of leftist activism including chapters that endorsed New Jersey Solidarity.org’s Activists for the Liberation of Palestine.
