James Woods: ‘I Will Never Watch the NFL Again’ (Video)

Actor James Woods is fed up with the way the NFL has handled Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest — so much so that he has vowed never to watch a league game ever again.

The 69-year-old conservative actor ripped the league in an impromptu interview with TMZ this week.

“They can do what they want, they can say whatever they think and I respect their Constitutional right to do it,” Woods said when asked about Kaepernick’s protest, during which he takes a knee during the National Anthem to protest the United States’ treatment of minority citizens.

“I hope they respect my Constitutional right never to watch the NFL again,” Woods added. “I will never watch the NFL again, ever.”

When asked whether there was anything the league could do to win back his viewership, Woods shut them down: “I don’t know, cause I’m never gonna watch them again, so how would I know?”

Woods has been one of the most vocal critics of Kaerpernick’s National Anthem protest. Shortly after the San Francisco 49ers quarterback first made his statement ahead of a pre-season game in August, Woods told Kaepernick not to “tarnish out flag by standing.”

“Just stay where you choose to be, with your worthless ass in the mud,” the actor tweeted.

Actor James Woods: ‘Buy More Guns and Learn How to Use Them’

On December 29, actor James Woods reacted to newly released details of the heinous November 10 murder of Amanda Blackburn by urging Americans to “buy more guns and learn how to use them.”

Blackburn was the wife of Pastor Davey Blackburn, who left his home to go the gym on November 10, only to have three suspects enter the home and kill his wife while he was gone.

According to USA Today, police said Amanda was knocked to the floor, then “accused triggerman Larry Taylor” allegedly “leaned over Blackburn’s body and shot the young mother in the back of the head.” Police said Taylor then “leaned further” and “looked at her face. And he watched her bleed.”

Taylor is also accused of raping a woman on November 3–while his accomplices allegedly robbed the woman’s apartment–and of killing a man on November 4.

James Woods responded to these reports not with calls for more gun control, but with a call for more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens who want to defend their own lives, their children’s lives, and their homes.

James Woods: Bernie Sanders an ‘Utter Moron’ for Praising China’s Maternity Leave Policy

Conservative bulldog and Hollywood actor James Woods called out Sen. Bernie Sanders as an “utter moron” Monday, after the self-described Democratic Socialist cited China’s paid maternity leave model as an argument for a proposed payroll tax.

Attempting to garner support for legislation to increase taxes on all U.S. citizens to fund paid maternity leave, Sanders wrote on Twitter Monday:

Woods did not take kindly to Sanders’ touting of Chinese policy, and reminded the 74-year-old of one of the country’s most draconian human rights practices; the mass slaughter of female infants, both before and after birth.

“China has notoriously killed female infants for population control, you utter moron,” wrote Woods, using the tag #ChinaGendercide.

James Woods Sues Twitter User for $10 Million Over “Cocaine Addict” Accusation

The actor filed a defamation lawsuit against an individual who replied to Woods’ tweets about Barack Obama and Caitlyn Jenner.

Incivility on social media seems to be a regular occurrence, and celebrities usually shrug it off (or don’t even read the comments from people who are tweeting at them), but James Woods is making a $10 million case about it.

On Wednesday, the actor went to the Los Angeles Superior Court and sued the anonymous individual who is tweeting as “Abe List” for defamation over a derogatory tweet that suggested Woods was a “cocaine addict” — a message that Woods complains was sent to “thousands of AL’s followers and hundreds of thousands of Mr. Woods’ followers.”

Woods is taking a stand. “AL’s reckless and malicious behavior, through the worldwide reach of the internet, has now jeopardized Woods’ good name and reputation on an international scale,” states the complaint. “AL, and anyone else using social media to propagate lies and do harm, should take note. They are not impervious to the law.”
