New Ethics Complaint Filed Against Democrat Senator Over Use of IRS in Targeting Conservatives

The complaint reads, “In light of the abundant evidence that Senator Levin acted unethically and unlawfully, the Committee should promptly investigate this matter and sanction Senator Levin as warranted.”

An ethics complaint has been filed by Tea Party Patriots against Sen. Carl Levin (D., Mich.) for his part in using the IRS as his personal goons to manipulate his political opposition.

The group alleges Levin “violated Senate rules by unlawfully and unethically exerting pressure” on the IRS to target conservative non-profit groups.

Judicial Watch received email evidence as a result of FOIA requests which clearly show that Levin was personally involved in a major effort to silence conservative groups.

Americans for Tax Reform, Susan B. Anthony List, and others have also added their names to the complaint.
