At the Sochi Winter Olympics opening ceremony set for broadcast later tonight, journalists took to twitter and provided Americans a brief, albeit disconcerting, preview into Russia’s nostalgic tribute to communism by erecting a giant hammer and sickle. See photos below:

If that’s not disturbing enough, reports indicate the monstrosities were met with loud and triumphant cheers from the rambunctious crowd.
Communism is responsible for the death of nearly 110 million people and terrorizing hundreds of millions more. Unfortunately, the leftist, politically correct media won’t treat this despicable display of evil with the same outrage they would have if Germany had erected a giant Swastika at the ’72 Munich Olympics.
