“My Russia cannot help her elderly and orphans. From it, bleeding, like from a sinking ship, engineers, doctors, teachers are fleeing, because they have nothing to live on. My Russia – it is an endless Caucasian war,” the publication quoted her as saying.
Natalia Pereverzeva
Russia’s Miss Earth entrant Natalia Pereverzeva has caused outrage in her country by calling it “a beggar.”
In a remarkable outburst, the 24-year-old-model said Russia was “a great artery, from which the ‘chosen’ few people are draining away its wealth,” the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Pereverzeva issued the attack in response to a standard question, asked of all Miss Earth contestants, about what made her proud of her nation.
Pereverzeva, a former finance specialist, began the attack by first praising Russia, saying that her country was “a kind cow with very big eyes, funny horns and always chewing its mouth; oh, what sweet milk she gives!”
Then veering off the message, she said “My Russia is a beggar.”
