Video: Hundreds face off at intensely heated Phoenix mosque rally

Phoenix police estimated that about 500 demonstrators showed up, evenly divided between protesters and counter-protesters, according to ABC 15.

A former U.S. Marine, fed up with liberals defending Islamic terrorists in the name of religious freedom, organized a free-speech rally Friday at an Arizona mosque that turned into a raucous event.

Jon Ritzheimer organized the rally outside the Phoenix mosque attended by the men who attacked a “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest in Texas earlier this month, local Phoenix television station ABC 15 reported.

Hundreds of protesters from both sides shouted at and taunted each other, as police separated the two groups.

Phoenix police estimated that about 500 demonstrators showed up, evenly divided between protesters and counter-protesters, according to ABC 15.

Street interviews captured on video anti-American, anti-1st Amendment views.

The Cedar Riverside section of Minneapolis is home to the University of Minnesota, some tasty ethnic foods and brutally cold winters. It’s also a known hotbed of Islamic terror recruitment.

Al-Shabab, the Islamist group based in Somalia, has had a field day there over the past six or seven years.

Dozens of young Muslims have left the streets of Cedar Riverside, referred to by some Minnesotans as “Little Mogadishu” for its high concentration of Somali refugees, to travel abroad and fight for terrorist groups. Some have joined Somalia’s notorious al-Shabab, which slaughtered 147 Christians at a university in Kenya last month, while others have opted for ISIS in Syria. Their goal is the same – to join their brothers in the fight to establish a Shariah-compliant utopia known as a caliphate.

But one would expect those who walk the streets of this quiet neighborhood to be a bit less fanatical in their views, right?

Rand Paul: ‘I will force the expiration’ of the PATRIOT Act

In a statement to POLITICO, Paul warns that he would not consent to any efforts to pass either an extension of current law or the USA Freedom Act.

Rand Paul plans to force the expiration of the PATRIOT Act Sunday by refusing to allow Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to expedite debate on a key surveillance bill.

In a statement to POLITICO Saturday, Paul warned that he would not consent to any efforts to pass either an extension of current law or the USA Freedom Act, a reform bill passed overwhelmingly by the House earlier this month.

“So tomorrow, I will force the expiration of the NSA illegal spy program,” Paul said.

Because of the nature of the Senate rules, Paul can force the expiration of the PATRIOT Act, which he has vowed on the campaign trail to repeal as president because he contends it invades Americans’ privacy rights.

In a rare Sunday session, McConnell, sources said, appears likely to move the USA Freedom Act, despite his opposition to how the bill overhauls the National Security Agency’s bulk data collection program. That’s because McConnell has little other choice given the vast support within Congress for the bill.

The New Nationwide Crime Wave

The consequences of the ‘Ferguson effect’ are already appearing. The main victims of growing violence will be the inner-city poor.

The nation’s two-decades-long crime decline may be over. Gun violence in particular is spiraling upward in cities across America. In Baltimore, the most pressing question every morning is how many people were shot the previous night. Gun violence is up more than 60% compared with this time last year, according to Baltimore police, with 32 shootings over Memorial Day weekend. May has been the most violent month the city has seen in 15 years.

In Milwaukee, homicides were up 180% by May 17 over the same period the previous year. Through April, shootings in St. Louis were up 39%, robberies 43%, and homicides 25%. “Crime is the worst I’ve ever seen it,” said St. Louis Alderman Joe Vacarro at a May 7 City Hall hearing.

Murders in Atlanta were up 32% as of mid-May. Shootings in Chicago had increased 24% and homicides 17%. Shootings and other violent felonies in Los Angeles had spiked by 25%; in New York, murder was up nearly 13%, and gun violence 7%.

Those citywide statistics from law-enforcement officials mask even more startling neighborhood-level increases. Shooting incidents are up 500% in an East Harlem precinct compared with last year; in a South Central Los Angeles police division, shooting victims are up 100%.

400 Swedish pensioners in Munkedal are being thrown out from “the Peoples House” after a so-called asylum baron decided to buy it and convert it to a home for Muslim illegal aliens, welfare dependents, and potential terrorists from the third world.

Local Social-Democratic politician Åsa Karlsson looks forward to the new citizens. “It’s an income for the municipality to get new citizens” – she says.

The Peoples House in Munkedal has for years been a meeting spot for pensioners and several hundred engage in the associations and activities but now its time for them to pack their bags and move out so that an asylum baron can profit (at the taxpayers expense) by housing the “new Swedes.”

Social-democratic politician staunchly believes that immigration from the third world is profitable

“We are a municipality that is running at a deficit of 20-25 million per year and to then buy an estate which is in great need of renovation to an association that we can give other facilities, it’s six associations, why can’t they do what other associations do and sort it out themselves? – she asks.

But if the Peoples House is being converted to an asylum home instead, as it appears to, I was thinking about the cost-question, wont that also be a cost for the municipality?-“No, it won’t be, the Migration Board compensates us for the asylum home in that case.”
