Bill Gates fears global pandemic could wipe out 33 million

Gates isn’t the only person giving warnings about a pending epidemic. According to the The Independent, researchers at Cambridge University in the U.K. say the bird flu could be as deadly as the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.

Bill Gates, 59, sat down with Ezra Klein, the Editor-in-Chief at Vox, and discussed his fear for humanity.

It’s not a third World War or an asteroid — it’s an epidemic similar to the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918 that killed somewhere between 30 and 50 million people across the globe.

Healthcare has vastly improved since the mid 1910s, but so has transportation, making it easier for viruses to cross borders and continents.

“I rate the chance of a nuclear war within my lifetime as being fairly low,” says Gates. “I rate the chance of a widespread epidemic, far worse than Ebola, in my lifetime, as well over 50 percent.”

Gates estimates the number of deaths could go as high as 33 million. To put that into perspective, that’s roughly the population of Canada. He says the U.S. government needs to start investing money immediately in research and medical surveillance to prevent an epidemic that he says will happen in his lifetime.

Mark Levin Takes on GOP Estab: ‘In Order to Defeat Democrats, We Have to Defeat Republicans’

After his riveting address at Saturday’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Mark Levin declared on Breitbart News Saturday that conservatives will never defeat Democrats without first defeating the Republican establishment.

The conservative icon, scholar, and talk radio host earlier told CPAC attendees that, “we’re here today because we are losing our republic and we’re the Sunshine Patriots who seek to restore it.” Levin has urged Republicans to nominate a true conservative in 2016 for the first time since Ronald Reagan, and he noted that “in order to get a Reagan we had to defeat the Bushes.”

“People need to understand that in order to defeat the Democrats, we have to defeat the Republicans,” Levin told co-hosts Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on the one-year anniversary of the program. “We don’t get a chance to defeat the Barack Obamas and the Hillary Clintons if we don’t defeat the Republican establishment.”

Levin ripped the Republican establishment who he said “shares our rhetoric” but “not our principles” for “surrendering” or being conquered by big-government liberalism.

Coulter’s argument — that the media and our politicians conspire to keep information from us about the effects of mass immigration from non-Western countries, and that such immigration will destroy the fabric of the country — is virtually unassailable.

This week, iconoclastic master Ann Coulter released her new book, “Adios, America!” The book has already been labeled racist by the mainstream left, which fears her argument, and will undoubtedly be marginalized by the mainstream right, which doesn’t want to hear it. Coulter’s thesis is simple: Since Senator Teddy Kennedy, D-Mass., rammed through the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, America’s immigration system has transformed from a device for enriching the nation for both native-born and immigrants into a scheme for importing anti-American voters.

What made America America, Coulter argues, was a particular blend of Protestant religion and European civilization that led to the rise of the greatest nation in human history. What will unmake America, she continues, is a deliberate attempt to poison that blend with a flood of immigrants with wildly different values.

Coulter points out that the real number of immigrants currently residing in America illegally far surpasses the 11 million consistently put forth by politicians and media. That 11 million springs from census data, which is notoriously unreliable, given that immigrants here illegally typically don’t spend time answering government surveys. The real number, she argues, is far closer to 30 million. And those 30 million immigrants in America illegally drive down wages, shred social safety nets, drive up the crime rate and congeal the American melting pot into a melange of inferior cultural values competing for local dominance.

Feminist Greer Attacks Elton John for ‘Deconstructing Motherhood’

Feminist commentator Germaine Greer has criticised Elton John for calling his partner David Furnish “mother” of their two sons.

Speaking at the Hay Literary Festival, Greer accused the men of “deconstructing motherhood”, criticising them for the fact that Furnish was listed as mother on their children’s birth certificates.

“Sometimes I think that really the problem is the concept of motherhood, which we can’t give any real structure to,” she said.

“Sir Elton John and his ‘wife’ David Furnish have entered on the birth certificate of their two sons that David Furnish is the mother. I’m sorry. That will give you an idea of how the concept of motherhood has emptied out. It’s gone, it’s been deconstructed.”

The Express says the couple’s children were born with the help of IVF treatment and share the same surrogate mother, who John and Furnish claim they “love like a sister”.

However, Greer, who wrote The Female Eunuch, also criticised IVF: “We now have a ‘genetic’ mother, who supplies eggs.

“It depends entirely on where she is if she is going to be allowed to know what happens to the eggs. And women tend to care. An egg is not a sperm, we do not produce 400 million of them in one go. One miserable little egg pops every month.”

Makes kids ‘feel America is against them, white people are holding them back’

Among the long list of complaints Americans have leveled against Common Core is the charge that the controversial federal standards will disproportionately harm racial minority students.

The charge comes not from Al Sharpton, but from at least two prominent black conservatives.

“Minority children are going to be hurt first and foremost by Common Core because they are stuck in the public schools, which are government schools,” Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson told WND.

“And even as adults, it will keep them in a state of helplessness and hopelessness because Common Core is going to dumb them down. [It] is going to make them feel that America is totally against them and that white people are holding them back. And they’re going to feel unprepared as adults to deal with life because they’re not going to be properly educated, that’s for sure.”

Peterson, a WND columnist and founder and president of The Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, was referring to the fact that racial minorities are more likely than whites to be poor, thus many of them can’t pay their way into private schools that don’t use Common Core. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 27 percent of blacks and 24 percent of Hispanics lived in poverty in 2013, versus only 10 percent of whites.

Former Deputy Children’s Commissioner for England has warned child sex abuse in the UK is so rife there aren’t enough prisons to lock up offenders. Sue Berelowitz is chairing the government’s inquiry into child sex abuse. Said public will be ‘shocked by scale of problem’ when she releases report.

The former Deputy Children’s Commissioner for England has warned that child sex abuse in the UK is so widespread that there is ‘not enough land’ to build all the prisons needed to incarcerate offenders.

Sue Berelowitz, who has been under fire after she received a six-figure payoff and was then promptly rehired as a £1,000 a-day consultant, made the claim while speaking at the Hay Literary Festival yesterday.

Mrs Berelowitz, who is currently chairing the government’s inquiry into child sex abuse said the public will be ‘shocked by the sheer scale of the problem’ when she releases her report in November.

She said that if the Crown Prosecution Service were to prosecute every paedophile there would not be enough land to build the prisons needed.

Speaking to Jon Snow with Camila Batmanghelidjh and Helena Kennedy during a talk on child sex abuse last night, she blamed the prevalence of pornography for the growth of an increasingly sexualised society.

Mrs Berelowitz said: ‘We live in a highly sexualised world in which for the most part it is considered quite acceptable [for men] to do as they want with females, and too many females think that is something they must comply with because they think it is a part of growing up.

Schlafly: Obama is ‘waging war on America’

Conservative icon says immigrants and refugees are the foot soldiers.

President Obama is instigating a war on the United States, according to longtime conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly. But the president hasn’t dropped a bomb or fired a shot; rather, he has opened the country to tens of millions of immigrants and refugees from all over the world, including from Muslim countries that hate America.

“It is waging war on America,” Schlafly told WND. “Muslims would like to take over the world and establish their caliphate, and Obama has let so many Muslims in. I don’t think he should let any Muslims in this country. There’s no reason why they should come in.”

In a study released last fall, the Center for Immigration Studies reported nearly 300,000 immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries entered the United States from 2010 to 2013. That brought the total number of immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries to 2.4 million, compared to 2.1 million in 2010 and 1.5 million in 2000.

However, simple immigration is not the whole story. Each year, the U.S. also welcomes thousands of refugees – foreigners who seek refuge in the U.S. because they either were persecuted or fear persecution in their home countries.

The State Department, which oversees the refugee resettlement program, aims to resettle 70,000 total refugees a year. It is estimated that roughly 40 percent of all refugees come from predominantly Muslim countries. WND has reported the U.S. has accepted nearly 2 million refugees from Muslim countries since 1992.

Judge sets trial for RICO claims against Clintons

2-week period set aside in Florida courtroom starting Jan. 25.

A federal judge in Florida has scheduled a trial for January for a case charging Bill and Hillary Clinton with RICO violations.

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations case was filed by Larry Klayman, of Freedom Watch, who alleges over the last decade, the Clintons have participated in “acts” that constitute a “criminal enterprise” that was designed to enrich them.

WND reported earlier this year when the case was filed that it alleged actions by Hillary and Bill Clinton, in coordination with their family foundation, constituted RICO crimes.

Klayman for years has been a Washington watchdog, having engaged Bill Clinton in court battles during his presidency. He’s also taken on terror interests and foreign influences in the United States, and just over the last year or so has won a federal court judgment against the National Security Agency’s spy-on-Americans program as well as bringing a case against Barack Obama over his amnesty-by-executive-memo strategy.

According to Klayman, the Clintons, through mail and wire fraud and false statements, misappropriated documents which he was entitled to receive and possess under the Freedom of Information Act regarding Hillary Clinton’s involvement in releasing Israeli war and cyber-warfare plans and practices.
