Drudge Pronounces Cruz, Paul ‘Heart’ of Republican Party

The Republican Party has a new heart, says Matt Drudge—or perhaps at least two.

As Texas Senator Ted Cruz was into his filibuster-like maneuver to bring attention to defunding Obamacare, Drudge took to Twitter to proclaim that the “heart” of the party has shifted.

As Cruz took center stage on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Drudge Tweeted that “Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have taken over the heart of the party.” Many would add Utah’s Senator Mike Lee to that list. But there was more. Drudge had a warning for New Jersey’s top man: “Christie going to have uphill battle against emotion,” Drudge said.
