NYPD investigating Alec Baldwin for possible hate crime

“He said some foul s**t about my mom,” Miller recalled. “He kept calling me a name, coon.”

On Monday, the New York Police Department’s Hate Crime Task Force launched an investigation into Alec Baldwin’s run-in with a New York Post reporter and photographer in which he allegedly used racial slurs against a photographer.

The Post said that detectives spoke at length with the reporter and the photographer.

G.N. Miller, the photographer who is also a decorated NYPD retiree, said Baldwin called him a “coon,” a “crackhead” and a “drug dealer.”

Miller and the reporter, Tara Palmeri, also said that Baldwin made a number of other disparaging remarks and reportedly told Palmeri, “I want you to choke to death.” According to reports, he also demanded Miller perform oral sex on him. The comments were caught on an audio recorder, and the tape was sent to the NYPD’s forensic unit for analysis.

“He said some foul s**t about my mom,” Miller recalled. “He kept calling me a name, coon.”

Miller said he showed Baldwin his ID, but Baldwin dismissed it, calling it a fake.

According to the Post, investigators are taking the incident seriously, and said Baldwin could be charged with a hate crime if enough evidence can be found. Detectives also spoke with Baldwin about the incident.
