Reverse job discrimination is rampant

I wonder what my father, a Canadian war veteran, would say about the fact that his grandson — who was born and educated in this country — could not apply on even ground to a government job specific to his education because of the fact that he was born in this country.

We certainly read and hear about the plight of immigrant people that have come to Canada and are employed at a job not fitting of their credentials, which were earned in other countries.

But our government has a policy of ‘Employment Equity’ and so on job applications and resumes you are requested to proclaim: Are you female?; Are you a member of a visible minority?: Handicapped?; Do you have land claim status; Do you have aboriginal status; and a new one we ran into lately: Are you a landed immigrant or Canadian resident that has lived in this country less than 10 years?

Why does our government policy discriminate, and yes, I am using the word discriminate, against natural-born Canadians so that they may not be judged on their educational merit, or previous work recommendations.
