Latin American March in Mexico Today, for The Five

A cultural gala to mark the 44th anniversary of the assassination of Ernesto Che Guevara was also held, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.

A multitudinous march in support for the five Cuban Heroes condemned in the US for fighting terrorism, has been scheduled in Mexico for October 9, the last day of the 7th Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba.

Demonstrators will march down the main avenues of the Mexican capital, the venue of this forum that began on Thursday, attended by representatives from 25 nations, the the Venezolana de Noticias news agency (AVN) reported.

Organizers of the meeting pointed out that the Cuban delegation, headed by Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon, will march along with Manuel Zelaya, leader of the Popular Resistance Front of Honduras.

Also joining the march will be Nicaraguan Sandinista leader Tomas Borges; renowned Argentinean journalist Stella Calloni; and popular Barbadian singer Anthony Carter, among other personalities, adds the AVN.
