American actress Nancy Carroll in a Halloween “pinup” photo shoot from the late 1920s. Of Irish parentage, Carroll got her start at the beginning of the talkie era phasing out silent film, and notably was in the original, 1929 WOLF OF WALL STREET film with Olga Baclanova (who may be best remembered now for playing the cruel circus performer Cleopatra in Tod Browning’s 1932 film FREAKS).
