U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents filed human smuggling charges against Eric Rodriguez.
Court records obtained by Action 4 News show that Rodriguez was dressed in a full military uniform when he drove up to the Sarita checkpoint in a Chevrolet pickup truck.
Border Patrol agents searched his truck and reported finding two illegal immigrants laying on the floorboard behind the front seat.
The immigrants were reportedly hiding under a bed sheet and a military jacket that had Rodriguez’s name tag on it.
