Quick Pix: Our Gang w/Video

Our Gang (also known as The Little Rascals or Hal Roach’s Rascals) is a series of American comedy short films about a group of poor neighborhood children and their adventures. Created by comedy producer Hal Roach, the series is noted for showing children behaving in a relatively natural way, as Roach and original director Robert F. McGowan worked to film the unaffected, raw nuances apparent in regular children rather than have them imitate adult acting styles.

Fess Parker – Daniel Boone Tribute

“The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after.” – Unknown

Hear Bill Ayers say again, ‘I wrote Obama bio’

Weather Underground leader tells Jerry Corsi on tape

Bill Ayers, the unrepentant former leader of the radical 1960s Weather Underground group, has been asked on several occasions over the past five years if he wrote “Dreams from My Father,” the book offered as evidence that Barack Obama is an intellectual heavyweight worthy of the Oval Office despite his relatively thin resume.

Aware of WND columnist and author Jack Cashill’s extensive literary analysis and independent corroboration by a friendly Obama biographer, Ayers has obscured his responses with a layer of irony, telling inquirers in essence, Yes, I did, and if you can help me prove it, I’ll split the royalties with you.

Prior to a debate Thursday night with author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza at Dartmouth College, Ayers brought up the subject himself in an exchange with WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi.

Ted Cruz, John Cornyn Grill Eric Holder on Federal Harassment of Tea Party

Both U.S. Senators from Texas, Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, grilled U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Wednesday over federal abuses in scrutiny of Tea Party organizations across the U.S.

Sen. Cruz focused on the IRS, and Sen. Cornyn focused on the story Breitbart News broke that the scandal was broader in relation to True the Vote, the Texas-based nonprofit that was also seemingly harassed by two Department of Justice agencies (DOJ), not just the IRS.

Breitbart News was the first to report that the IRS abuses of Tea Party groups extended beyond the IRS and into the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF, or more commonly known as the ATF).

The May 13, 2013 piece by Breitbart News titled “Multiple Agencies Involved With IRS Intimidation” revealed that True the Vote and the group’s founder, Catherine Engelbrecht, had been seemingly targeted since 2010 by various federal agencies.

This author wrote:

True the Vote’s experiences with the IRS’s abuse of power were recently discussed by Catherine Engelbrecht in a previous interview with Breitbart News. She said:

We applied for nonprofit C-3 status early in 2010. Since that time the IRS has run us through a gauntlet of analysts and hundreds of questions over and over again. They’ve requested to see each and every tweet I’ve ever tweeted or Facebook post I’ve ever posted. They also asked to know every place I’ve ever spoken since our inception and to whom, and everywhere I intend to speak in the future.

NYC school cuts popular gifted program over lack of diversity: report

“Our Kindergarten classes will be heterogeneously grouped to reflect the diversity of our student body and the community we live in,” said the head of the Department of Orwellian Press Releases.

A popular gifted-student program at a New York City elementary school is getting the ax after school officials decided it lacked diversity.

PS 139 Principal Mary McDonald told parents in a letter Jan. 24 that Students of Academic Rigor, or SOAR, would no longer accept applications for incoming kindergartners, the New York Daily Newsreported.

“Our Kindergarten classes will be heterogeneously grouped to reflect the diversity of our student body and the community we live in,” Miss McDonald said in the letter posted on Flickr.com.

At least one parent described SOAR as largely white, while others disagreed, the report said.

One mother conceded the program did have a lot of white students, but worried gifted students now won’t be challenged enough.

“Where are they going to put the higher-level students? Sometimes, there are different levels, and teachers can’t handle all the levels in one class,” she told the Daily News.

Immigration: How the GOP Lost Middle America by Patrick J. Buchanan

While manufacturing sought to move production abroad, hotels, motels, bars, restaurants, farms and construction companies that could not move abroad also wanted to replace their expensive American workers. Thanks to the Republican Party, Corporate America got it all.

Out of the Republican retreat on Maryland’s Eastern shore comes word that the House leadership is raising the white flag of surrender on immigration.

The GOP will agree to halt the deportation of 12 million illegal aliens, and sign on to a blanket amnesty. It only asks that the 12 million not be put on a path to citizenship.

Sorry, but losers do not dictate terms. Rich Trumka of the AFL-CIO says amnesty is no longer enough. Illegal aliens must be put on a path to citizenship and given green cards to work—and join unions.

Rep. Paul Ryan and the Wall Street Journal are for throwing in the towel. Legalize them all and start them on the path to citizenship.

A full and final capitulation. Let’s get it over with.

To understand why and how the Republican Party lost Middle America, and faces demographic death, we need to go back to Bush I.

At the Cold War’s end, the GOP reached a fork in the road. The determination of Middle Americans to preserve the country they grew up in, suddenly collided with the profit motive of Corporate America.
