Officials appeased student who claimed she was profiled

A remarkable New York Times story shows how the postmodern relativistic culture of an elite women’s college prompted administrators to appease a black student who falsely claimed she was racially profiled, wrecking the lives of four of the school’s lower-class wage earners, who were branded as bigots.

Times reporter Michael Powell begins by pointing out that at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, tuition, room and board top $78,000 a year while the employees who keep the school running often come from working-class neighborhoods.

The saga began in the summer of 2018, when Oumou Kanoute, a black student, recounted on Facebook that she was eating lunch in a dorm lounge when a janitor and a campus police officer walked over and asked her what she was doing there. The area was off-limits to students at the time, because the school was hosting a youth conference.

Under Armour appears to be the next big corporation found to be forcing employees to undergo anti-white training sessions, a report says.

According to the Outkick, a whistleblower is reporting that the sportswear giant has mandated that employees take a so-called “anti-racism” course entitled “Above the Surface: Dominant White Progressive Narratives” that urges white employees to examine how they might be racist.

Under Armour “forced its white employees to participate in a training program that asked them to consider ways in which they might be racist.”

The course’s moderator even reportedly asked white employees how many “virtually all-white” funerals they had attended during their lives, insisting that not going to a minority funeral may prove the employee is racist. After asking that question, the moderator quickly interrupted, saying that she didn’t want to give whites time to think of their answer. She then told white employees that the question “should be something that you are thinking about if you are white for the rest of your life.”

In another part of the training, whites are told that saying “I was taught to treat everyone the same” is also racist.

“Billions of dollars to be made by providing conservative alternatives,” Rogan O’Handley said.

The social media censorship of conservatives is going to significantly backfire, lawyer and social media influencer Rogan O’Handley predicts.

O’Handley, who goes by the social media handle @DC_Draino, told the John Solomon Reports podcast that by forcing conservatives out of mainstream social media, the left is creating a lucrative business for alternative social media platforms that are pro-free speech.

“This is economic balkanization of the internet, right? So we’re seeing as we are rejected, and pushed out of, and censored by, mainstream leftist Silicon Valley companies, it’s creating a massive, lucrative economic opportunity for entrepreneurs to provide alternatives that, you know, defend American values and allow free speech,” O’Handley said.

Although Chinese Americans “are people of color and therefore start from the oppressed side of CRT’s binary,” CACAGNY explained that “as we overcome discrimination and achieve upward mobility, we are now White by adjacency” (emphasis original). The Chinese American group claimed that Black Lives Matter rioters with CRT signs assaulted a CACAGNY rally supporting merit-based education.

Backlash is rising against the Marxist critical race theory (CRT) behind The New York Times‘ “1619 Project” and other efforts to indoctrinate Americans with the idea that American society is fundamentally or “structurally” racist. This week, the Chinese American Citizens Alliance of Greater New York (CACAGNY) issued a powerful statement condemning critical race theory and urging Chinese Americans to oppose it.

“Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a hateful, divisive, manipulative fraud,” CACAGNY declared. “One way or another, CRT wants to get rid of ?too many Asians? in good schools. Asians are over-represented.? CRT is today’s Chinese Exclusion Act. CRT is the real ?hate crime? against Asians” (emphasis original).

Critical race theory teaches that any racial disparities must ipso facto be proof of some hidden racial bias or discrimination, regardless of civil rights laws explicitly forbidding such discrimination. Since Americans of Asian ancestry are overrepresented in colleges, universities, and certain high-income professions, CRT effectively teaches that American society is structurally biased in favor of Asians.

Superintendent told principals to talk about Capitol riot as ‘teachable moment’

“I’m not going to tell you what to think, I just want to help you think,” Principal Barton Thorne told Cordova High School students last month, a few days after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

His recorded video message, which plays weekly in homeroom, went on to explain the threat of social media platforms deciding who gets to speak. President Trump and many of his supporters had been removed from their accounts, and the competing social media platform Parler removed from its web host, in the wake of the riot.

Tennessee’s Shelby County Schools quickly put Thorne (above) on administrative leave and opened a disciplinary investigation for “professional misconduct.” Thorne’s lawyers demanded the district immediately reinstate him and “publicly apologize for suggesting his actions were inappropriate.”

Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has claimed that American culture and college campuses in particular are ‘under siege’ from woke activists who want to restrict free speech and prevent debate.

‘America is under siege. We see it on our campuses,’ Walker said in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida on Friday.

‘We see it in our culture, and increasingly we see it in our communications with the censorship from Big Tech, left-wing professors, liberal activists, mass media, even some of our major corporations are attempting to cancel conservative thought,’ he added. 

‘They don’t want to compete with us in the battle of ideas because they know they lose. They just want to cancel,’ said Walker.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday that big tech is “aiding and abetting” China’s mission for “global dominance.”

“China and big tech, they have a cozy relationship,” Blackburn said. “And they have been allowing the Chinese Communist Party to spew all of their information. I can’t find anywhere they’ve been censored or blocked or banned.”

“Big tech is aiding and abetting the Chinese Communist Party in their push for global dominance, and we are going to have to stand against it,” she added.

Blackburn said that by enacting the “virtual you” agenda, Americans could fight back against big tech’s dominance and censorship practices.

“This is what we will tell big tech: ‘you cannot track, follow, listen, data mine, or share your information, your information with a third party without getting your explicit consent,’” she said. “It is your privacy.”
