Overboard – Trailer

“The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after.” – Unknown

Ann Coulter on Marco Rubio: ‘I Really Don’t Like Liars’

“If Rubio or Jeb gets the nomination, it’s going to be President Hillary and expect a full Supreme Court of Ruth Bader Ginsburgs,” Coulter said. “I don’t think either will get the nomination, but I am sure neither of them will become president.”

Conservative author Ann Coulter did not mince words when asked on Breitbart News Sunday why she does not support Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) presidential bid.

“I really don’t like liars,” Coulter said, reminding listeners that Rubio ran as a Tea Party candidate against Charlie Crist in 2012 and “campaigned over and over again” by attacking Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) comprehensive amnesty legislation and even declaring that “a path to legalization is a code word for amnesty.”

Coulter, the author of Adios, America, told host Matthew Boyle, whom she extensively praised for his relentless reporting on immigration issues, that though there were some red flags concerning Rubio–like his abuse of the Florida GOP’s credit card–“all sins were forgiven” because he was running against a candidate in Crist whom conservatives just wanted to defeat at all costs.

She reminded listeners that Rubio then “gets to Washington and spends three years pushing nothing but amnesty.” She said establishment Republicans say Rubio is “so telegenic” and he’s just “changed his mind” on immigration, but she noted that, “that’s the only thing he’s done” in D.C.

Activists Plan to Burn American Flags in New York City Ahead of Fourth of July

Organizers said accused Charleston shooter Dylann Roof wasn’t an “isolated actor,” but a “product of a consistent pattern of state-sponsored terrorism and radicalized dehumanization in America.” The event originally was aimed at burning the Confederate flag, but later changed to focus on the stars and stripes.

A group calling for the immediate disarmament of the New York Police Department plans to burn American flags in a Brooklyn park on Wednesday, just days before the Fourth of July holiday.

“Disarm NYPD” announced the “Burn the American Flags” event on Facebook, inviting individuals to join the organization at Fort Greene Park to “set fire to this symbol of oppression.”

[…]

“There will be no peace until we tear down this system of oppression,” the group wrote on Facebook. “It isn’t enough to take the flag down; we must put an end to white supremacy once and for all.”

After the event attracted online attention, “Disarm NYPD” defended the event in an online statement.

“We find it a sign of the times that people can care so much about a piece of cloth, while at the same time be so quiet about black churches being burned all over the country,” a post on Facebook said. “Perhaps this is the great difference between us and the so-called ‘patriots’. While they express their loyalty to symbols, we express our loyalty to the lives of the oppressed.”

Facebook to Ban Posts Containing the Confederate Flag

The online community immediately reacted with a pushback explosion. Many condemned the media giant for bowing to political and social pressure, while others accused Facebook of imposing censorship and taking away free speech and expression:

Facebook, the preeminent global social media service, has bowed to pressure and will begin banning posts containing the Confederate flag.

The new ban, which some commenters have called “Confederate Flagging”, will go into effect soon after the July 4 holiday. Multiple violations will result in account suspensions.

Users who send or receive a post containing the flag or its imagery in any form will receive the following notification: “Content deemed offensive to one or more groups of individuals is blocked from public view. This content may include images or links to images that depict, display, or promote the design and/or content of the Confederate flag in any manner.”

All monitoring and blocking will be controlled by Facebook.

State Dept. kicks out reporter, threatens arrest

‘I’m going to have to get security’

Officials with the Department of State threatened to call security Monday on a Washington Free Beacon reporter who was attempting to report on a briefing held by senior Obama administration figures in Vienna on the eve of an expected nuclear agreement with Iran.

Two State Department officials booted the Free Beacon from a room where Wendy Sherman, the undersecretary of state for political affairs, was talking to reporters, despite the Free Beacon’s being credentialed by the Austrian government for the ongoing Iranian nuclear talks.

Western observers present in Vienna for the talks linked the State Department’s behavior to jitters over media coverage revealing a still growing list of concessions being made to Iran by the Obama administration.

Trump: NBC ‘stands behind Brian Williams,’ not people who tell it ‘like it is’ (Video)

“I think as far as ending the relationship, I have to do that, because my view on immigration is much different from the people at NBC,” Trump said. “You cannot have … illegal immigration. You don’t have a country if you have that.”

Donald Trump blasted NBC on Monday afternoon after the media company announced it had cut ties with the GOP presidential candidate over remarks he made about immigrants from Mexico.

“If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court,” Trump said in a statement.

“Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be,” he added.

NBC recently announced that Williams would move from “NBC Nightly News” to a new position at MSNBC after his suspension.

Trump issued the statement shortly after NBC announced it would be cutting ties with the businessman and no longer air the “Miss USA” and “Miss Universe” pageants, which it produces with Trump.

NBC noted Trump would not continue on “The Apprentice.” The 2016 Republican presidential candidate has said he told the network he would no longer be the face of the program amid his nascent White House bid.
