Now we’re all Eurosceptic: Now the French are even more anti-EU than Britain

A tide of Euroscepticism is sweeping across EU member nations, a study published yesterday claims.

The proportion of Europeans with a favourable view of the EU has fallen from 60 per cent last year to 45 per cent, with France more Eurosceptic than Britain. Support for the EU there has fallen to 41 per cent, compared with 43 per cent in the UK.

Britons were split evenly, at 46 per cent, on whether to leave the EU, the survey of 7,600 people by the Pew Research Centre found.
