Jesse James Endorses Donald Trump for President

The thrust of James’ lengthy Facebook endorsement of Donald Trump involved the fact that he watched Trump up close and personal for about six weeks during the Celebrity Apprentice filming in New York City.

Jesse James has taken to Facebook to endorse Donald Trump’s presidential bid, describing the New York businessman and GOP front-runner as “the real deal.”

James, not the outlaw from western folklore, is the motorcycle builder/customizer perhaps best known for being the ex-husband of actress Sandra Bullock, on whom he famously cheated.

The controversial James starred in several gear head reality shows including Monster Garage on the Discovery channel and later as a contestant on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice in 2009. If you’re a fan of the latter, you may remember that James got fired near the end in part for his stubborn unwillingness to access his then-wife’s deep-pocketed Hollywood contacts to obtain charitable donations from them for one of the show’s challenges.

Donald Trump expressed surprise that he never invited Bullock to the set either, according a 2010 Hollywood Life account. “Most people would bring their wives on to help them win,” Trump recalled, adding (prophetically) that “Maybe he was with someone else [at the time].”

“He’s a tough guy…sullen and quiet … but he’s a very smart guy. I thought he had this fantastic love for Sandra,” Trump opined about Jesse James.
