If you Google “happy go lucky,” I suspect you would see a photo of me with an effervescent Cheshire toothy grin on my face, probably at a warm, glowing campfire with my family and dogs, poking some fresh, juicy shanks of venison on the grill.
The colloquialism “life is good” doesn’t come close to describing my hard-earned, well-organized, brilliantly prioritized and very happy American Dream. I rock like an animal, I hunt like a predator, I write like a freedom-addicted American, and I live life to the absolute fullest each and every day that God blesses me with another.
I’m having so much fun here, I can hardly get next to myself! I don’t just pursue happiness; I swan-dive head first into it and wallow wildly like a swine in muck.
But with the blessings of so much good, I am driven each day, compelled to fight the inescapable bad and ugly that balances out this adventure called life. After all, to actually earn this experiment in self-government, one must, or at least ought to,admit that there are certain We the People daily duties to make it all work the way our Founding Fathers intended it to work, and even old Motown guitar players can figure it out when refusing to be shackled by the scourge of political correctness and the vile, dishonest denial that it is.
