As of this morning South Africa shut down all of their oil production. They are a large exporter of food and minerals and due to their decision to close their production we could see increased prices at the pump in other locations and perhaps a more struggling Africa. We are already hearing of millions of people starving to death in Africa and with this decision I wonder how it will impact the nearly 60 million people that live in South Africa that will likely now have higher gas prices, higher food prices and will likely see this impact fertilizer costs and other costs.
