Entire DC Universe Rocked by Abuse Allegations — And an Investigation

All the men and women who spoke to Variety describe similar incidents of inappropriate touching and endemic sexual harassment; they often told the same stories and corroborated each other’s accounts.

It may have started with Harvey Weinstein, but as some hinted even from the very beginning, the Hollywood sex scandal iceberg has proved to be much bigger and much dirtier beneath the surface.

With recent allegations stinging Academy Award-winning actors like Kevin Spacey and Richard Dreyfuss, it’s more clear than ever that actress Emma Thompson was not wide of the mark when she called the situation “endemic” to the industry.

But now, TV’s DC comics universe is feeling the burn: executive producer Andrew Kreisberg is facing allegations of misconduct from 19 sources.

Variety reported the following Friday:

Warner Bros. TV Group has launched an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior by Andrew Kreisberg, an executive producer on the CW shows “Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “The Flash” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” Variety has learned. Kreisberg, who has been suspended by the studio, has engaged in a pattern of alleged sexual harassment and inappropriate physical contact over a period of years, according to 15 women and four men who have worked with him.
