Day after day, I see America disappearing before my eyes. Our principles, values and ideals are slowly but surely disintegrating in the hands of the progressive left and our politically correct society.
I wanted to write about this because I have just seen a new film, “Confirmation,” from HBO about the Anita Hill hearings and testimony in regard to then-U.S. Supreme Court justice nominee Clarence Thomas. Now, believe me, I knew even before watching it that there was a 99.9 percent probability that the film would be biased and slanted against a conservative, Republican African-American, but I was amazed at how skewed it was toward all of the “right.”
I remember quite distinctly watching the hearings in 1991. I saw it firsthand, and the people and situations were not accurately portrayed in this film. The producers and writers took “artistic license” to make their film more entertaining and explosive. They didn’t need to; the actual hearings were entertaining and explosive when they took place in 1991. But what I saw and what HBO showed was a biased, revisionist version of historical events. That was its intention. That is pretty much always Hollywood’s intention if it wants to change history to fit its agenda.
