Sylvester Stallone was Jimmy Fallon’s guest on “The Tonight Show” Thursday, where he talked about his old rivalry with Arnold Schwarzenegger and how the two hated each other at the height of their careers.
“I think he’s brilliant… but I wanted to strangle him.”
Stallone first revealed the two “really disliked each other intensely for 20 years” at the 2013 premiere of the movie “Escape Plan,” which both starred in. He told Page Six it was because the two were so competitive for action roles, but they had both gotten over the decades long grudge.
“Hate is a good word,” Stallone joked with Fallon.
