Dinesh D’Souza’s ‘America’ Opening Scene Revealed (Video)

Ahead of a presentation by Dinesh D’Souza at the 2014 Republican Leadership Conference on Saturday night where the conservative author plans to reveal a portion of his upcoming film, America, The Hollywood Reporter has obtained the opening sequence of the movie.

Lionsgate is releasing America, D’Souza’s follow-up to his hit documentary 2016: Obama’s America, wide on July 2. Video of the first two minutes of the film is embedded below.

America is based on D’Souza’s upcoming book with the same title, in which he attempts to dismantle what he says are arguments the political left makes to unfairly disparage the U.S.

“I’ll be showing 10 minutes. It’s Act 1, before we go into the critique of America,” D’Souza told THR. “It’s longer than a clip because I wanted to show the quality of the cinematography and some of the arguments we present in the film.”
