Mainstream media ‘pig ignorant’ in Obama coverage

This week, Dr. Savage celebrated his 20th year in radio by recalling how he got his start in the industry, while promoting his books about nutrition and natural medicine:

“When I did a book tour in Seattle back in the 1970s,” he recalled, “during a commercial break the host who was interviewing me said, ‘Michael, you have a wonderful voice and a great presence. You ought to consider a career in radio.’

“At the time,” Savage continued, “it was as if he’d told me I should consider a career in Major League Baseball. I didn’t know the first thing about it” (Free audio).

Savage blasted President Obama for “restarting the Cold War,” calling him a “silly clown” and adding that, “There would be an overthrow of the government through legal means if we lived in a sane democracy” (Free audio).

Rush Limbaugh

When one of Limbaugh’s loudest critics was arrested on serious criminal charges, the radio host didn’t try to hide his delight.

California State Sen. Leland Yee was one of more than a dozen Democrats caught up in an FBI sweep of corrupt elected officials. Back in 2011, Yee had unsuccessfully tried to organize a boycott of Limbaugh’s show after he mocked the president of China.

Limbaugh criticized the media for underreporting the party affiliation of the accused. Earlier in the week, he also mocked journalists’ lazy and ignorant reporting on a story concerning Matt Drudge.
