The red army faction (also known as the Baader Meinhof gang) was led by charismatic figures such as Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof, and Gudrun Ensslin, the group espoused a radical Marxist ideology and sought to incite revolutionary change through guerrilla tactic, kidnappings and bomb attacks.
