“We have a lot of crime scenes. We have several people that were injured in this,” said Austin Police Assistant Chief Joseph Chacon on Saturday.
Police identified a man accused of shooting at cars with an assault rifle along an 18-mile stretch of Interstate 35 Saturday morning.
Late Sunday night Rolando Martinez, 25, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a 2nd-degree felony. Four people including a 7-year-old girl were hit. The child remains in critical condition as of Saturday evening.
Austin police say the shooting began about 2 a.m. Saturday and ended around 3:15 a.m. Calls to 911 came in from multiple places along I-35, stretching from south Austin at Stassney Lane up to Wells Branch Parkway.
KXAN spoke with one of Martinez’s sisters and learned he’s the oldest of six siblings. She described him happy, calm and was shocked to hear the news. The family hasn’t had the chance to speak with him and tearing up, she said she’s “not sure what went wrong that night.”

A visit to a deportation centre for illegal migrants by the Danish minister for immigration and integration Friday quickly turned violent as angry residents attempted to attack the politician, before throwing themselves in front her departing car.
Danish immigration and integration minister Inger Støjberg took to Facebook after the event to explain she had been visiting the deportation centre to speak with a family of migrants who were due to be removed from the country. However, instead of the conversation, the minister had expected scenes turned ugly as “around 40” people “became very excited”, leading to what she called an “aggressive mood”.
Footage from the incident acquired by Danish newspapers shows Støjberg’s security detail having to push back migrants as they extracted her from the building, and punches being thrown at police officers. As the minister’s car drove away from the scene, closely followed by a protection squad vehicle, a number of migrants stood in the way of the car — at least one of whom appears to have gone underneath the wheels.
Danish media reports “several” were hit by the car, but that there were no serious injuries.

Graphic reveals how millions of migrants have moved across the continent. It reveals a ‘tight correlation’ between terrorism and refugee flows. The heat map was created by experts at the Igarape Institute think-tank in Brazil.
This astonishing map shows the movement of millions of migrants across Europe in the past 15 years – during what researchers have branded an ‘unprecedented’ period.
Experts at the Igarape Institute think-tank in Brazil produced the time-lapse video which reveals the extent of the refugee crisis which has gripped the continent for years.
The ‘heat map’ shows that migrants often move from poor countries to other impoverished nations as they flee armed conflict.
It also reveals a ‘tight correlation’ between terrorism and refugee flows – as people escape danger by travelling to safe haven countries.
Cities are the primary reception point for new arrivals including refugees – ensuring the protection, care and eventually the integration of newcomers.
At least 80 cities of sanctuary in the UK are committed to welcoming refugees, asylum seekers and others seeking safety.

Congressman Steve King calls upon Senate Majority Leader McConnell to move his House-passed legislation, the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act” through the Senate. The bill would end funding for lawless Sanctuary Cities that undermine immigration law by refusing to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. American citizens are too frequently the victims of crime committed by illegal aliens who seek, and are provided, refuge in Sanctuary Cities.

During a visit to this border city, members of the International Red Cross found empty schools and fear in the streets after months of regular, large-scale gun battles by cartel members featuring grenade launchers, machine guns, and armored vehicles.
During his visit to Mexico, Peter Maurer, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross spent time in Reynosa, a battlefront between rival groups of the Gulf Cartel that continue to fight over the territory. The purpose of the visit by the Red Cross was to evaluate the effects of organized crime and illegal immigration in Tamaulipas. One of the concerns expressed by Maurer was the humanitarian crisis in the northern parts of Mexico where citizens cannot enjoy access to basic services like education or medical care without running the risk of becoming victims to organized crime.
During his trip, Maurer shared on social media various messages where he tries to offer a sense of depth to the problem. One of the messages reveals an empty school after classes were suspended due to the recent gun battles by the Gulf Cartel.

In a blow for multiculturalism and open door migration, a majority of Australian voters believe the country is full and almost half support a partial ban on new Muslim arrivals.
The changing approach to immigration Down Under has been highlighted in a new survey that shows that just over 50 per cent of voters agree that Australia has changed beyond recognition and “sometimes feels like a foreign country.”
The Australian Population Research Institute (TAPRI) conducted the polling. The independent organisation claims the results are driven by a rapid change in Australia’s ethnic and religious make-up and concerns over quality of life.
It comes as ordinary Australians cope with massive population growth driven by record migrant intakes and Pauline Hanson of the One Nation Party warned that Australia’s political elites are increasingly out of touch with ordinary voters. She tweeted:
END MASS MIGRATION | Gov, Labor & Greens refuse to acknowledge the dangers of mass migration #auspol
Corey Feldman has created a new INDIGOGO campaign, but this time its not to raise $ for an album, or tour, but it is about something much more important. Corey is attempting to make his life story into a Major Motion Picture. His idea was created in response to the tens of thousands of comments he receives urging him to come forward with details about his abusers while growing up as a child in the industry. The plan is simple, donate now, get the answers you seek, while affording him the ability to protect his family, and cover the legal costs while he prepares to take a stand against the sick and twisted power mongers in the world of Entertainment and beyond.
I watch Hollywood awards ceremonies where a supposed artist screams out for punching people in the face for political disagreements, and the entire horde of Botoxed brain zombies leaps to their feet in an ungodly and unholy howl of rampant bloodlust approval.
“We can call it Cultural Marxism, but at the end of the day, we experience it on a day to day basis, by that I mean a minute by minute, second by second basis. It’s political correctness and it’s multiculturalism.” – Andrew Breitbart
