U.S. Immigration Laws Face New Scrutiny After Killings

The case could create a new problem for the Obama administration, as officials weigh steps the president could take after the Nov. 4 elections to expand protections from deportation for immigrants here illegally.

It would seem to be a worst case that opponents of the Obama administration on immigration had long forecast: An illegal immigrant — one who had been deported twice, yet returned to the country each time — is accused of killing two Northern California sheriff’s officers in a six-hour shooting rampage Friday.

The suspect led the authorities on a manhunt through two counties. After he was booked into the Sacramento County jail, federal immigration authorities used his fingerprints to identify the man, who gave his name as Marcelo Marquez: They said he was Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamonte, a Mexican who lived without papers in this country for more than a decade after he was deported in 1997 and again in 2001 because of drug- and weapon-related arrests.

“This case shows that our laws are not being enforced, and there are tragic consequences to not enforcing them,” said Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, or FAIR, a group that advocates tougher immigration controls.

Watch the Wackiest Political Debate You Will Ever See

It’s unclear whether any of these second tier candidates will receive a bump in the polls because of their stellar debate performances. But Governor Shumlin better watch his back. Not in electoral terms. Literally. These people are clearly insane. Hopefully they won’t take their Election Day pummelings so hard that they decide to take over the governors mansion by force. But after watching that video, would you be surprised if that happened?

Vermont has this strange habit of allowing all of the candidates who are running for public office participate in their televised debates, regardless of how insane they are or how viable their candidacy may be.

The most recent debate between Incumbent Governor Peter Shumlin and six of his opponents is one of the most hilarious pieces of political theater that I have ever seen. Here are some of the highlights.

Trick or treat, America by Ted Nugent

Ted Nugent sees Texas governor race representing 2 different futures.

Devil’s Night traditionally occurred the night before Halloween when I was growing up in the MotorCity way back in the 1950s and ’60s. Traditionally, houses were TP’d and egged, windows were soaped or waxed, a few streetlights and porch lights were shot out, lawns got salted, and even real nasty destructive crimes were committed with slashed tires and broken windows.

But at the Nugent house, the various forms of vandalism and intentional destruction of other’s personal property were virtually forbidden. We were taught that hard work was necessary to have certain things in life and that such hooliganisms were simply not allowed.

My dear old Dad, God love him, would have certainly “knocked our block off” had we engaged in such irresponsible and downright asinine behavior.

What sort of numbnut could possibly think hurting others and then expecting a handout the next day on Halloween was a plausible series of events?

I’ll tell you who – the new species of we the sheeple, that’s who. Punks that were brainwashed into believing that earning your own way was for suckers, that if someone had some nice things, surely they were cheating and they owed you.

One need look no further than my beloved birth-city of Detroit to see how this self-inflicted dumbing down and spiritual decay manifests itself – from soaping windows to burning down entire neighborhoods to going bankrupt, both economically and spiritually.

John Wayne Wins Best Actor: 1970 Oscars

“The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after.” – Unknown

Trace Adkins – Tough People Do

“The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils.” William Shakespeare

John Wayne’s son carrying on father’s legacy through cancer research

Patrick said that even though he was father was always an “incredibly courageous man,” it was in those final six weeks that his bravery reached a peak. “He never complained, all he thought about was if he could help someone else,” he said. “We all thought he had it under control and was going to win this battle.”

John Wayne remains one of the most iconic figures in American cinematic history – from a Civil War veteran in “The Searchers” to a U.S. marshal “True Grit” – his gun slinging, cowboy hat wearing and outspokenly conservative political persona was box office gold for several decades.

While it has been over thirty-five years since he died of stomach cancer, John Wayne’s legacy continues to have a powerful impact in the quest to eradicate the disease.

“When we started this organization, we had no idea what would happen. But all these years on, and John Wayne is still very popular…and he is able to make a difference,” Wayne’s son Patrick told FOX411 at the annual John Wayne Cancer Institute Auxiliary (JWCIA) in Beverly Hills on Thursday. “His name still means a lot around the world.”

Even in his dying days, Patrick says his father remained strong and no one ever really thought his illness would claim his life.

“The problem was that so many people saw him as a two-dimensional person, but he was as multi-layered and as human as they come,” Patrick explained. “He was a very vulnerable person, but he wasn’t a person who was shriveling up and dying. We all thought he was going to beat this. That’s what you just thought of John Wayne. But in reality, he was just a human being like the rest of us.”

Actress bravely reveals harrowing years of rape at hands of TV legend

‘Bill Cosby threw me down on his bed and pinned me by my neck. I’ll never forget the sound of the clinking of his belt buckle.’

When comedian Hannibal Buress delivered his recent merciless tongue-lashing at Bill Cosby, calling him a serial ‘rapist’, there was one woman who was paying particularly close attention.

When Barbara Bowman was a teenager she was emotionally and sexually abused by the TV star and in an exclusive interview with MailOnline she describes in chilling detail how Cosby manipulated her into believing he was a father figure and took advantage of her youth, vulnerability and yes, even ambition, to have his way with her over and over again.

‘I was drugged and raped by that man,’ she tells MailOnline. ‘He is a monster. He came at me like a monster. My hope is that others who have experienced sexual abuse will not be intimidated into silence by the famous, rich and powerful. If I can help one victim, then I’ve done my job.’

Raised in Denver from age nine by her mother, Barbara soon began studying acting and modeling. By 13, she became a client of J.F. Images, Denver’s top agency at the time.

What began as a dream in 1985 with a private ‘audition’ for Cosby ended two years later in screams for help while being pinned down to the comic’s hotel bed.

Barbara, now 47, says it’s time to end her code of silence — a silence that at least 13 other victims have followed — spanning three decades.

Obama & Brown Guilty of Shielding Alleged Illegal Alien Cop Killer

On Friday, Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte–an illegal alien criminal–allegedly shot and killed two sheriff’s deputies in the Northern California counties of Sacramento and Placer. He also allegedly shot another man in the head for resisting a car-jacking.

Monroy-Bracamonte had been deported twice before using a false identity.

Authorities had plenty of opportunities to remove Monroy-Bracamonte long before he decided to wake up one October morning in 2014 and allegedly murder a cop with a so-called “assault weapon.”

Monroy-Bracamonte apparently showed no regard for human life, and should face the death penalty for destroying so many families.

But what do we do with the politicians who were his accomplices before the fact in this terrible crime?

Under Jerry Brown and a supermajority of illegal alien enablers, whose welcome-mat policies have encouraged more illegals come to California than any other state, should be held responsible. President Obama has been no better: by executive order, he has effectively nullified all enforcement of immigration laws in the United States.
