Jenny Sherbo became America’s Next Great Horsewoman after winning Project Cowgirl at the 2012 Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, California, winning a fantastic prize package from the American Quarter Horse Association. Winner Jenny Sherbo performed a patriotic freestyle that touched the heart of every true American in the crowd.
Project Cowboy, presented by AQHA, is “American Idol” meets “America’s Got Talent” for cowboys and cowgirls, and gives horsemen the opportunity to display their talents on horseback and in front of the television camera. The first Project Cowboy for men only of 2012 was held at the inaugural Horse Expo Pomona in California February 2-3. The second Project Cowboy was reserved for cowgirls to show their talents. Both competitions were filmed for a reality television program that is set to air February 14, 21 and 28, 2013. Fans will be able to view the show on RFD-TV thanks to AQHA and its sponsorship of Project Cowboy.
Jenny Sherbo Performance Horses is located at Sliding J Ranch in Acampo, California. She specializes in a wide spectrum of performance horses – cutting, reining, reined cow and barrel horses – as well as starting colts.
