Occupy protesters storm San Francisco bank, 95 arrested

According to the Chronicle, one protester urinated in a corner of the bank. Depositing human waste has become something of a trademark with Occupy protesters.

Ninety-five Occupy protesters were arrested Wednesday after storming a downtown San Francisco Bank of America branch.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that many of the activists came from Occupy Cal at UC Berkeley:

The bank occupation began when about 200 marchers rushed into the BofA branch at Davis and California streets about 2:10 p.m. and jumped onto desks and chairs and honked an air horn. Several workers fled, and after several minutes many of the demonstrators went outside to rejoin 200 other marchers waving signs on the sidewalk.

The AP, however, reported that approximately 100 protesters invaded the bank shouting “money for schools and education, not for banks and corporations.”

The Associated Press added that “hundreds more demonstrators surrounded the building, blocking entrances and exits.”
